Beyond the Double Chin: All the Body Areas You Can Treat with LemonZest LB-1000™️ Fat Dissolving Injections

When most people hear "fat dissolving injections," they picture one thing: the double chin treatment. And while submental fat reduction is one of the most popular indications for this technology, it represents only a fraction of what an enzyme-based lipolytic injectable like LemonZest LB-1000™️ by PepGlow Aesthetics is clinically formulated to address.
Unlike deoxycholic acid-based injectables, which are primarily studied and indicated for submental use, LemonZest LB-1000™️ uses a Riboflavin, Bromelain, and Lecithin formula that is designed for both facial contouring and all major body areas within the same product (Hexsel et al., J Drugs Dermatol., 2003; Kopera et al., J Cosmet Dermatol., 2022). That means your treating professional can address localised fat deposits across multiple zones in a single clinical session.
How the Treatment Adapts to Each Area
Before covering individual areas, it helps to understand why dosing varies across the body. Fat depth, tissue density, and the volume of localised fat in each zone determine how much product is needed per injection point and how many points are mapped across the treatment area.
For facial and chin areas, a precise 1cm × 1cm grid system is used, with 1mL delivered per injection point using a fine 30G needle at a shallow 4–6mm depth. For body areas, a wider 1.5cm × 2cm grid is mapped over the fat deposit, with each injection point receiving 1.5–3mL depending on the area, using a longer 30G × 13mm or 25G × 16mm needle at a subcutaneous depth of 10–13mm (Duncan & Palmer, Aesthet Plast Surg., 2008).
The total session maximum across all body areas combined is 100mL. This clinical ceiling ensures the elimination pathways, lymphatic transport and hepatic processing, are not overwhelmed in a single session (Salti et al., Dermatol Surg., 2008).
The interactive area guide below maps every treatable zone, its dosing range, and its session maximum.

Face and Chin: Precision Contouring at the Source
The face and chin are where many clients begin their fat dissolving journey, and for good reason. Submental fat, the localised deposit beneath the chin that creates the appearance of a double chin, is one of the most distressing and resistant-to-exercise fat deposits on the body. It is also one of the most responsive to enzyme-based lipolytic treatment (Rotunda & Kolodney, Dermatol Surg., 2006).
LemonZest LB-1000™️ addresses three distinct facial zones. The submental area is the primary indication, with the 1cm grid system allowing precise mapping of the entire fat pad for even product distribution. The jowls, the lower facial fat responsible for jawline heaviness, can be treated to restore definition along the jaw. Buccal fat and nasolabial fat pads address mid-face fullness and cheek volume that clients often find difficult to target with any other non-surgical intervention.
For all facial areas, dosing is capped at 10–20mL per session. The shallow injection depth (4–6mm, intradermal to superficial subcutaneous) ensures product is precisely delivered into the fat layer without risk of intramuscular injection.
Abdomen: The Most Requested Body Area
The abdomen is typically the first body area clients want to address outside the face, and it accommodates the highest volume per session of any single zone, up to 30–40mL across the upper and lower abdominal fat deposits.
It is important to be clear with clients about what LemonZest LB-1000™️ addresses here: surface adipose tissue, not visceral or deep abdominal fat. Visceral fat, the fat surrounding internal organs, is not accessible via subcutaneous injection and requires metabolic intervention rather than lipolytic treatment. Clients with a BMI above 35 should be counselled accordingly, as reduced efficacy in high-visceral-fat presentations has been documented (Duncan & Palmer, Aesthet Plast Surg., 2008).
For clients with localised abdominal fat deposits unresponsive to diet and exercise, particularly common post-pregnancy or post-weight-loss, the abdominal zone can produce significant visible contouring across two to four sessions.
Thighs: Inner, Outer, and the Saddlebag Problem
Inner thigh fat and outer thigh saddlebags are among the most exercise-resistant fat deposits in the body, particularly in female clients where hormonal fat distribution creates characteristic bilateral deposits that respond poorly to even significant caloric reduction.
LemonZest LB-1000™️can treat both the inner and outer thigh independently, with a per-side session maximum of 10–20mL. Because the thighs are typically bilateral treatment areas, both sides can be addressed in a single session within the 100mL total limit, though the treating professional will assess whether bilateral treatment in one session is appropriate for each client.
Collagen stimulation from the treatment also supports skin tightening in the inner thigh, an area where mild skin laxity commonly accompanies localised fat deposits (Hexsel et al., JEADV, 2009).
Upper Arms: Addressing the Bingo Wing
Upper arm fat, colloquially known as "bingo wing" fat, sits in the posterior-superior arm and is particularly resistant to weight training due to the anatomical pattern of fat distribution in that region. The 1.5–2mL per point dosing and a session maximum of 15–25mL makes the upper arm a straightforward treatment zone with a well-tolerated profile.
Hips, Flanks, and Love Handles
Hip rolls and flank fat, the deposits that create the "love handle" silhouette at the waist, are among the most common body contouring requests. These areas respond well to lipolytic treatment because the fat tends to be clearly demarcated and accessible at the appropriate subcutaneous depth. Session volume of 15–25mL per area allows meaningful treatment of the full flank zone in a single session.
Back and Bra Rolls
Back fat, particularly the rolls that form along the bra line in the upper back, is an area many clients struggle to discuss, and one that is rarely addressed by other non-surgical modalities. LemonZest LB-1000™️ can treat both upper and lower back deposits with the same 1.5–2mL per point dosing and a 15–25mL session maximum.
Clients who combine back treatment with flank treatment should ensure the combined volume of both areas remains within the 100mL total session limit.
Planning a Multi-Area Session
One of the clinical advantages of LemonZest LB-1000™️ is that multiple areas can be addressed in a single session, provided the combined volume across all treated zones does not exceed 100mL. Your treating professional will calculate the total mapped volume at consultation and prioritise areas accordingly if a single session cannot address all target zones safely.
Results follow the same timeline across all areas: initial fat reduction visible at two to three weeks, full results at four to six weeks, with two to four sessions recommended for optimal outcomes (Salti et al., Dermatol Surg., 2008). Areas with larger fat deposits may require the higher end of the session range.
A full consultation, including health intake, contraindication screening, and area-specific treatment planning, is required before any session proceeds.
